Peas belongs to the fabaceae vegetables and are plant in the north of Tunisia, there is a ideal weather for the peas to develop in a high quality.

The consumption time of the peas is in the spring, where the water becomes hotter, peas are available until june. The fresh peas should be distinguished from early peas however they can be both consumed as pods or as dry seeds.
